It is a great pleasure to inform you that there is a special edition of the Hermetic Virtues magazine to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the foundation of the Golden Dawn.  For this some of the founders or co-founders of currently active GD orders have kindly shared their thoughts on the Golden Dawn, how they came to take this path and what they envision for the future of this tradition.

The resulting picture of the different opinions shows diversity and communality, development  and devotion.  It as an encouraging snapshot, showing as it does that the Golden Dawn is capable of healthy growth and is open to many sincere practitioners across the globe from a variety of backgrounds, who are not restricted to one age-group, religion or region, who together and each on their own behalf claim their heritage and spiritual birthright by following and exploring this path.

The special edition is available immediately on the Hermetic Virtues website and includes responses from Chic and Tabatha Cicero, John Gilbert, Mark Griggs, Sam Webster, Tommy Westlund and Pat Zalewski.

To avoid delays for handling, the special edition is downloadable via the Hermetic Virtues online store.  After it has been purchased (“purchase  completed”) the download button will appear.  Downloads are also possible by visiting the "order details" section  located under "My Account" --> "My Orders" areas as well.

NEW – How to Download the Hermetic Virtues Magazine

As the numbers of subscriptions rise, we have introduced a new download system instead of sending everything via eMail.  This is because many providers will not accept large files and so that people can download the magazine without having to wait for it to be sent out.

After you have purchased your subscription or individual issue in the store as usual, you will receive an eMail confirmtion that your account has been updated accordingly.  After you next log in, you will notice a new tab in the top bar on the store page.  Please click on this to reach the download page.

There you can click on the individual files that you have bought to simply download these straight to your computer.

In the very unlikely event that you experience any problems, please contact us for help.

We are now very glad to announce that the Winter Solstice issue of the Hermetic Virtues Magazine is available.

We are more grateful than we can say to the authors who contributed to it for their generous gift of their time and creativity and for being willing to share their knowledge and experience with us.  We hope that you will enjoy reading the articles and will find useful knowledge, interesting information and perhaps a little inspiration to help you find the way along your personal path to the Summum Bonum.

The magazine is published on a quarterly basis at the Summer and Winter Solstices and the Vernal/Autumnal Equinoxes.  The proceeds of US$ 6.00 per issue or $20.00 for an annual subscription of four issues (always starting with the Summer Solstice - subscriptions made after that receive back orders from the Summer Solstice issue onwards) go straight to a non-profit organization whose purpose is to preserve and extend hermetic knowledge and traditions.  None of the people who contributed to the magazine receive anything more than the feeling that they have offered the benefit of their knowledge to others in the community.

In the third edition you can enjoy the following fascinating and thought-provoking papers:

v     A Pronounciation Guide to the Angelical Language of Dr. John Dee by Aaron Leitch
The final part of a trilogy on Angelical: a detailed analysis to aid in practical use.

v     The Genius of the Golden Dawn by Nick Farrell
Who was the genius behind the Golden Dawn?

v     The Rosicrucian Vault - A Compendium of the Universal Unity by Chic Cicero
The significance of the Vault in the Rosicrucian tradition.

v     The Keryx and the Caduceus by Melissa Seims
A look at the role of the Keryx in the Golden Dawn.

v     Understanding the Sphere of Sensation by Samuel Robinson
An examination of the nature and function of the Sphere of Sensation.

     v     "Judgement" by Harry Wendrich
A new painting of the Tarot trump.
